MINING DIVISION

Optimize drill & blast operations

14 May | 3 PM SAST (GMT+2)

Drill and Blast processes are amongst the most expensive activities for mine operations and require proper measurement and audit. Poor fragmentation adversely impacts mill throughput and requires proper monitoring and tracking. Measuring post-blast movement and translating ore polygons to account for displacements are critical steps in achieving optimal ore yield and improvement in mill head feed grade.

During this webinar, you will learn:

  • How to design blasts for optimal fragmentation

  • How high-precision drilling assists in achieving the required fragmentation

  • How to collect actual fragmentation data post-blasting and reconcile this with planned values

  • How to use blast monitoring technologies to delineate post-blast ore control polygons, reducing ore loss and dilution
