On-Demand Webinar: Long Term and Medium Term Planning with MinePlan Schedule Optimizer

Over the past decade, hundreds of mines have adopted MinePlan Schedule Optimizer to assist with the preparation of life-of-mine plans and budget plans. This presentation provides an overview of MPSO and discusses its applications to long and medium term plans through the eyes of our clients based on several case studies and testimonials. We will highlight new features requested by our clients, such as Process Points in MPSO. We will end with a live demo in which an MPSO project is set up from scratch to demonstrate how to use “share destinations” to connect multiple haulage plans to one MPSO project.

Ernesto Vivas, Hexagon's Mining Division

Ernesto Vivas is one of Hexagon’s resident road warriors. Ernesto visits customers in some of the most remote parts of the planet, helping to improve their mine planning workflows.

In 2015, Ernesto was in the Arctic, visiting Baffin Island to provide training at the Mary River Mine, the northernmost open-pit mine in the world. In recent years, he has helped customers from New Caledonia in the South Pacific to Red Dog, Alaska, with Mongolia, Thailand, Japan and much of South America in between.

Ernesto has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, he graduated from the University of Arizona in 2000 with a B.S. in Mining Engineering.
