MinePlan as the Interoperability Bridge
11AM BRT (UTC-3) | 7AM MST (UTC-7)
In the mining industry there is an entire ecosystem of different technologies designed to solve specific challenges. Technology providers traditionally solve problems in silos and focus only on the positive elicited by each challenge being solved. In the presentation we will evaluate all the workflows and the value they add to mining operations from the perspective of MinePlan as a provider and consumer of data, as well as the integration / interoperability possibilities of technologies made with a purpose. How do you actually achieve productivity, efficiency, or cost reduction from a plan, design, or optimization that doesn't translate very well in the field, and what could happen when it does?
Javier Castañeda - Business Development Technician - Mine Planning is a mining engineer from the University of Arizona who began his professional career nine years ago at Hexagon. He started in technical support where he honed his knowledge of MinePlan, then transitioned to technical sales where he continued to solve engineering problems from a different angle and perspective that required solving challenges for customers by mapping out value-added solutions instead of products with features. After a spell in product management as an applications engineer, Javier is now in global business development, where his curiosity continues to drive him to create value for customers via technology. Today, he has taken on a global business development role where his curiosity continues to challenge him to study how to create value for each customer he faces through our technology portfolio.
