Get ready for a reunion like no other
Mining Indaba is returning to the CTICC, Cape Town from 9-12 May 2022. The mining community will be looking to the future with the overarching theme:
Evolution of African Mining: Investing in the Energy Transition, ESG, and the Economies.
It’s the place where the industry moves forward. From global leaders to new challengers and industry heavyweights to evolve African mining. Whilst powering new strategies, critical dialogues and deal-making transforming the energy transition, ESG, and the economies.
The content and discussions will run under this theme, where together the industry will explore how Africa, and more particularly mining, investors, and society – can thrive amid the decarbonisation, social, technological, and economic (‘the sociotechnomic and decarbonisation dispensation’) that prevail across the continent.
Plus, not one but two Heads of State are confirmed to address the industry this May. The Botswana President H.E. Mokgweetsi Masisi and the newly elected President of the Republic of Zambia H.E. Hakainde Hichilema will share their visions for the future directly to the Mining Indaba community.
"The Mining Indaba has been a significant platform in Africa’s mining industry for over 27 years – bringing together unique voices and perspectives. We look forward to being back at the Indaba in-person in May 2022, where we will continue to interact and learn from our peers, host governments and investors who are at the heart of Africa’s mining industry."
